Champions of Change

Southern Gippsland’s climate and environments are changing. As a result, our farmers need to be innovative in their practices and need to explore diverse ways of managing their farms.

We have identified a few of the many innovators from across our region from whom we can learn: Champions of Change. Our champions have explored new ways of farming, have looked to the past for inspiration, have looked at their practices across their whole enterprise and have planned for a future changing climate. The champions we have chosen each have stories and learnings important to us all.  They have identified challenges, observed changes and have addressed these through learning and action, and they are keen to share.

We hope these champions resonate with your farm and inspire you to look for new opportunities for your farming enterprise. Our champions have shared their experiences, the good and the not so good, the successes and failures. They inspire us to try new approaches, to experiment, to reflect and to learn.
